Rich Homie Quan Passes Away at 33: What We Know About the Atlanta Rapper

Rich Homie Quan’s death news is confirmed by Fulton County Medical Examiner. He died at the age of 33. This sad news came on Thursday afternoon.

Rich Homie Quan was born in Dequantes Devontay Lamar on October 4, 1990. He was a famous  Atlanta rapper. He started gaining popularity in the early 2010s and after that huge appreciation for his song “Type of Way” in 2013. His popularity peaked in 2015 When his song  “Flex,”  reached No. 26 on the Billboard Hot 100.


Grady Memorial Hospital told the medical examiner about his death. Atlanta Police visited a house on Hamden Forest Drive SW around 11:20 a.m. Thursday. This house is owned by Rich Homie Quan where his girlfriend found him unconscious.
Rich Homie Quan was a member of the famous music group Rich Gang and he collaborated with renowned artists such as Young Thug, 2 Chainz, Gucci Mane, and Trinidad James. He is famous for his distinctive melodic music and catchy hooks. He had a great contribution to rap music.
He is the oldest one in the family. He had three siblings. Quan likes to play baseball but after some time, he chooses music as a career. He also spent 15 months in jail in 2011 for a series of burglaries. After coming back from jail, he became more passionate about music. He worked hard and became a popular rapper in his music career.

Singer Jacquees tweeted  on X, calling Rich Homie Quan a “legend” and saying, “Rest in Peace, my brother.” 2 Chainz and Quavo also shared their condolences on social media, they said they have strong relations with the rapper and expressed their sorrow on his death news.
His death will be determined after the autopsy which is scheduled on Friday. His death is a big loss for the music industry.
