Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas have had their first child.
Their first child was born through a surrogate on Friday.
“We are so happy to say that we have had a baby through a surrogate. During this very important time, we ask for your respect and privacy so that we can spend this time with our family. There were no more announcements.
In 2018, Chopra and Jonas got married in the country where Chopra is from. Five days later, the couple had two ceremonies: an Indian wedding and one led by Jonas’ father, Paul Kevin Jonas, Sr. The Indian wedding took place in a temple and was led by a priest. There were two weddings at the Umaid Bhawan Palace in Rajasthan.
On Vogue’s first-ever digital cover, Jonas and Chopra talked about their upcoming wedding. They said their big day would show “two very different cultures and religious backgrounds” with “so much love and acceptance.”
Chopra wrote a best-selling book about her relationship with Jonas. She talked about it in the book. “He was this big, huge wave that just took me away, and I was OK at that point to be taken away by this very confident, self-assured, and creative man.” You and I both have a lot of the same goals for our lives and our careers. We both want to build both of our lives and our careers on our own, as well as with each other.
