About 65 minutes after launching, it splashed down in the Indian Ocean. Although it exploded on landing, still it’s the fact that they made it happen. Sending it into space was still a big win. Tice noted, “We were not intending to recover any of Starship, so that was the best ending we could have hoped for.”
Elon Musk, the CEO of SpaceX, shared his thoughts on social media. He wrote, “Big step toward making life multi-planetary was made today.” His message shows that they have a bigger goal for SpaceX: to send humans to other planets, like Mars and the Moon. It will be a big deal if it’s possible ever.
